Chance The Rapper Postpones Tour Until 2020

It's a disappointing day for Chance the Rapper fans. Chance was supposed to kick off his "The Big Day" tour this week but has announced on Monday that he's postponing it until 2020 because of a very heartfelt reason.

The tour was supposed to start September 14th in San Francisco but since the birth of his second child Marli last week, he's decided his family comes first.

He explains that though this year was "one of the greatest" of his life, balancing work and family was "strenuous". He started his last tour only two weeks after his first daughter Kensli was born and says he "missed some of the most important milestones in her life".

"At this point as a husband and father of two I realize that I can't make that mistake again," said Chance on an Instagram photo of him and his two daughters. "I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months of raising Kensli and Marli."

He was sure to apologize as he knew "people were counting him" and hopes his fans understand and will forgive him in time. The tour will now begin on January 15th, 2020.
